Big/Lil Sisters

Having Big and Little Sisters between the returning cheerleaders and the new cheerleaders is a long-standing tradition with McNeil Cheer. The purpose is to develop relationships and teamwork, and to foster school spirit between the squads.

On special games, Big/Lil Sis will exchange a small gift to share the McNeil spirit.

Tradition at the homecoming game is to exchange a Homecoming Mum designed especially for your Sis. We hold a “mum making party” as a fun way to get the girls together to make the mums.

Gifts can be anything you like… baked goods, candy, flowers, trinkets, Mav items, etc. You might want to use a “play on words” or use props that relate to the opposing teams mascots. The Dollar Stores are great resources.

Be creative! Have fun and enjoy “treating” your Big/Lil Sister!
